Napa Valley has become a circus, bad traffic, long lines at the wineries, overpriced wines, and overpriced restaurants. It always seems to me like the wine industry and the restaurant industries are competing for your time, because both of them take way too long to get wheat you want.
There are few boutique wineries in Napa, there are two types of wineries: big box or large production facilities which produce for multiple lables and virtual wineries which do not own grapes, production facilities, or wineries.
So, what do you di if you want to visit wine country? Visit Sonoma, like Napa, there are large box wineries, but you can find great small production boutique wineries. Some examples include Deux Amis, Raymond Burr, David Caffaro, Dry Creek, Lambert Bridge, and many more.
Let MDM Vacations plan your next wine contry trip. We have connections from our wine distribution business, so we can get you VIP tours of the wineries, you can meet the winemakers, and have a wonderful time. Contact Melanie at 415-756-0181.
